If you told me photography was going to be my career 10 years ago, I wouldn’t have believed it. But, looking back, all the signs were there and just had not been fully realized. I have always been attracted to imagery, and was obsessed with fashion magazines growing up… so naturally when trying to figure out what the heck to do with my life, I chose an education in fashion. I imagined I would love city life and working in the corporate world, never wanting to return to my Berkshire roots…. but boy was I wrong. I now have a whole new appreciation for the Berkshires, and the beauty at the doorstep of where my husband, fur babies and I call home.

My career as a wedding photographer began somewhat on accident. I was working at, what I thought at the time, was a dream job for a cosmetics company, but I never felt truly fulfilled with my work. Photography was always a hobby of mine, so a friend asked me to photograph her wedding day. I tried to talk her out of the trust she had in my untested abilities, but I am so happy she didn’t listen and that I embraced that opportunity with an open heart and gratefulness. That was in 2012 when I jumped in head first and never looked back. Since then, I have had the pleasure of capturing so many special moments for so many awesome couples and families throughout the Berkshires and beyond.

I am obsessed with capturing the REAL.

To me, being a photographer is so much more than being able to take beautiful pictures, it’s about the human connection. I want you to feel the comfort of being in the presence of a friend. I’m not here to change you, to show something you are not. I’m here to show who you are and every emotional moment that comes with it. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I’m a sucker for all the pretty little details, and being a recent bride myself, I know all too well how much work goes in to putting your vision to life. But, I’ll tell you a secret, your wedding day is probably going to be a shit show. However, it’s YOUR shit show, and I’ll be there right beside you, laughing with you, and making sure you don’t forget the true reason for that day and that you celebrate with all of your hearts and souls.

Capturing memories, recording history, and giving people something to look back on is indescribably important. The fact that you are putting your trust in me to artistically and candidly capture those special moments is the greatest honor.

If you love dogs and feel a sense of humor is one of life’s most important qualities, we are probably a perfect fit!!
